My First Blog

I chose to use the Awesome Inc. template for my blog because this template seemed to be very uniform and simple to navigate, which I feel my viewers will appreciate. I chose a red back round that fades into black. Red is a very vibrant and fun color and I want it to reflex the mood of my posts, which will generally be of a fun and comical nature. But the red fades into black to show that at times I will be posting my thoughts on more serious topics, mainly football related.

On my about me I page; first included where I grew up to explain the origin of my blog’s name. I discussed my passion for sports, especially football. I talked about my football career because the sport was very important to me throughout my life and it shaped me into the person I am today. I also hoped by discussing my long football career that I would gain credibility from my readers for one of my blog’s other components, “Lets talk football”.

I included my love for the New York Giants to show my all around love for football whether it is playing or watching the game. I listed some of my other hobbies to express my interests to my audience to help them get a better feeling for all the things that make up my life. Lastly, I talked about one of my favorite T.V shows, the Jersey Shore. I had to set the record straight with my audience that although I do enjoy watching the show, I do not take it seriously and neither should they. I often reference the show as a joke and I plan on doing so in my future posts. I just wanted my audience to understand that whenever the show is included in one of my posts, it is just to be FUNNY.

One component that I included was a page called “lets talk football”. I love talking about the NFL and what better way to discuss football than using a blog. I included this page to express my ideas about what is currently going on in the NFL, hoping my viewers will give INTELLECTUAL feedback on my ideas, while also expressing their ideas.

I feel my blog reflects the fun and goofy side of my personality. However, I do plan on posting some serious thoughts and analysis on my main page and my “lets talk football” page. I want my audience to view my blog searching for something to laugh at and occasionally something to really think about. The component I plan to gain the most experience from my “lets talk football” page. I am hoping that my classmates and other viewers have powerful and intelligent responses to my posts which I will gain much insight from. I also feel I will learn much about my classmates and blogging in general by visiting their pages and reading their thoughts.
